Please note the latest social distancing recommendations from the CDC and Tarrant County. We are asking all clients, visitors, and employees to wear face coverings while in the waiting area and hallways and any other area of the building where social distancing is not possible. All of our consultation rooms allow for six feet of separation during your session. You are free to work with your counselor to determine your level of comfort once the session begins. While we remain committed to in-office sessions, telehealth is a fantastic alternative. Please discuss these options with your counselor. If you need urgent services, please contact your local psychiatric hospital. Here is a list of some facilities in Tarrant Co.: Mesa Springs, Huguley, Millwood, JPS, Springwood for further assistance.

Welcome to Texas LPC Supervision with Mary Dainty, M.A., LPC-S

Hello and welcome to my practice. Hopefully this page will give you a better understanding about the field of counseling and how it can potentially help you. My goal is to help you see things in a new way and challenge you
to become a better person. My practice has several residency counselors, known as LPC Associates, to choose from. See the "meet the team" page at the top of the page to browse each counselor's personal profile.

Through Person-Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, EMDR, and CBT we plan the road to healing. The first session is an information gathering session, which includes history taking and treatment planning. Each session afterwards will be determined based on presenting issues and progress.

Keep in mind there are no guarantees regarding outcomes with any type of treatment. Along the way should your progress become stalled, or either you or I feel counseling is not progressing, or you treatments needs exceed my scope of practice, then it may be necessary to seek alternate type(s) of treatment. If this is the case, with your collaboration, I will assist with referrals.

Change can be difficult. If it was easy none of us would seek help. Change forces us to think, act, speak, and make decisions in ways that may seem complicated to us. As with any lifestyle change it is important to treat the mind, body, and soul in order to optimize your healing. With practice and determination eventually the change will replace our old behaviors and begin to feel natural.
